Top Ten Ways You Can Help

  1. Sign the petition and we will get this to the elected officials responsible for approving the site.
  2. Bookmark this site and check consistently and frequently to become educated on the issues and spread the word.
  3. Write a letter to the editor for newsletters, neighborhood papers, TV websites or the ABQ Journal.
  4. LIKE our Facebook site and let us hear from you.
  5. Write to your elected officials. Even if they are unable to discuss this, their staff will collect the responses.
  6. Write your opposition to ABQ Mayor R.J. Berry; we are his constituents and he should know how we feel.
  7. Join us in our demonstrations and marches — numbers do count. Check this site for details.
  8. Speak up in your own neighborhood meetings and circles of friends. Speak to other parents about the crime attributed to Walmarts — here and nationally. Word of mouth is still the best communication.
  9. Every battle takes money — donating on this site using the "Donate" button at right will allow us to continue to pay all the expenses to continue the fight. We need any financial support you can give — $25 to $1,000 or more. Please contribute even a small amount.
  10. Stay with us until the fight is over and we win. Walmart fatigue is what they are counting on.

This is the official website of the organized opposition to a proposed Walmart at Coors and Montano Blvd in the southeast quadrant of the intersection. This site is paid for and managed by the Taylor Ranch Neighborhood Association (TRNA) and more than 37 Neighborhood Associations and Home Owners Associations (and still counting), retailers, parents, environmentalists, young people, recreationalists and ordinary citizens. All are people who care about the communities in which they live and who want to sustain the future of their neighborhoods and this great city.  © 2012 TRNA. Site design by Otter:Create LLC.
